This poem has been inspired by my very strong Aunt Laura who has sat by my Grandmother’s side for the last eight months as she battled for her health. Laura sat by her side and held Grandma’s hand as she took her last breath.

a Covet for Personal Solace

Here is a poem…I’m new to poetry, so forgive the primitive structure. I’d love any suggestions for improvement.
This has been written after a period of violence against our students. Seeing this turmoil in a young student’s life always forces me to think about the sadness that is nice to forget.
